  • Hey, y'all! I'm a southern gal and a writer of many things, from fantasy and sci-fi to my one true love, contemporary. I'm currently writing a YA romance. I read widely, though I'm on a realism kick (both contemporary and historical). I love talking all things books, both reading and writing. Ask me anything! Some of my recent favorites are Brown Girl Dreaming, Rooftoppers, Dante and Aristotle Discover the Secrets to the Universe, The Hunger Games trilogy, and More Happy than Not. Favorite classics include Jane Eyre, To Kill a Mockingbird, Their Eyes were Watching God, and The Bell Jar.

  • Growing up I wanted to be one of two things: A vet or a graphic designer. Okay, I wanted to be a singer too, but believe me when I say, I have not got a voice for singing. I did pass all my flute exam before I was thirteen though. But I never became a vet or a graphic designer. Oh well. I’ve been writing poetry since I was young, and devoured books at an alarming rate (still do today) and I thought, I wonder if I can do that, write a book? So I did. I wrote a book.
  • I am the Disabilities Services Coordinator at a community college in Colorado. I like finding a way to make things work for people and I love books. My favorite books are ones that challenge my thinking and that show me how others live. I love badass females and the underdog. I generally don't care for romance. My own novel and many of the books I read, deal with disenfranchised people: kids in foster care, the bullied, young people in the aftermath of trauma. I'm interested in learning and showing how someone overcomes adversity. I believe in the power of the small interaction.
  • 15 year old at heart, loves to read, write and watch all things YA. Proud indie author of Wilder: The Guardian Series :)
