My Review:
Just when I think I have these story lines all figured out, Kresley Cole throws something completely out of left field and the story evolves into something I didn’t even see coming. She’s awesome.
I LOVED this story, loved Conrad, loved Néomi, and I loved Conrad and Néomi! They’re so adorable together and I was truly feeling the love throughout the whole book.
What I loved most about this story, I think, is that I truly thought I had the ending all cooked up in my mind, but the ending that did happen wasn’t even on my radar. Also, I loved the fact that because Néomi was a ghost for awhile, Conrad and her had a lot of time to get to know each other. Before he thought she was his Bride, before they could even touch, they got to know each other. They fell in love, not through sex or being fated, but because of each other. It was beautiful and very different from the previous books.
The obstacles these two had to face – phew! If I thought some of the other stories in this series were seemingly impossible, I just felt so terrible for them sometimes. Poor Conrad just couldn’t catch a break it seemed, but in the end it all worked out.
I was also very happy to see the Wroth brothers reunited with their long lost brother, Conrad. It was nice to have another story about one of them and it was nice to hear about them all together for a change. So far I like them all. Each of them are very different, but I love them all. I can’t wait for Murdoch’s story too.
So what’s not to love – a sexy hardened vampire softened by his female, a very likable heroine, a believable romance mingled with hot love scenes, and a scenario that looks to be impossible to overcome but somehow they do. It’s everything I look for in a paranormal romance. Next please!
