#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR KRESLEY COLE delivers a breathtaking tale of a brutal vampire soldier about to know love for the first time . . . and a Valkyrie aching for his touch.
Murdoch Wroth will stop at nothing to claim Daniela—the delicate Valkyrie who makes his heart beat for the first time in three hundred years. Yet the exquisite Danii is part ice fey, and her freezing skin can’t be touched by anyone but her own kind without inflicting pain beyond measure. Can they conquer an agony of frustration and slake the overwhelming desire burning between them?
NEW YORK TIMES AND USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR GENA SHOWALTER puts a daring spin on a tale of huntress and hunted . . . and concocts a sensual chemistry that is positively explosive.
With only skin-to-skin contact, Aleaha Love can change her appearance, assume any identity. Now she’s an AIR (alien investigation and removal) agent on a mission to capture a group of otherworldly warriors. Only she is held captive when dangerously seductive Breean, a golden-skinned, iron-willed commander, threatens her new life—and for the first time, Aleaha wants only to be herself.
Untouchable by Kresley Cole: (Immortals After Dark, #8)
Solid 5 stars! This has got to be my FAVORITE book in the series so far. I think, mainly because it literally spans from the very first short story that started the Immortals After Dark Series, The Warlord Wants Forever to the very latest in the series at the time (#7). It’s so cool to see the stories of Nikoli and Myst, then Sebastian and Kaderin, all the way up to Conrad and Néomi (there isn’t much mention of the two demon brothers’ stories, but then they were going on elsewhere).
Although, I think you would probably have to have read all the others in the series, in order, to appreciate these instances, but it’s so cool! This is what I love most about Kresley Cole – the overlapping of stories. This story was the ultimate since it spanned the months that the first books took to cover. It’s incredible how she does it so flawlessly, she’s amazing.
As for Murdoch and Danii – could I feel more terrible for them! I truly loved both these characters. But, what a situation to be caught in where you can’t even touch your Bride without burning her! It was really so heartbreaking at times. It was almost as bad, if not worse, as Conrad’s situation. Sometimes, it had me near tearing my hair out trying to figure out how in the world they would get through this.
But, of course, Kresley Cole came through in the end and it was a fantastic ending!
Overall, this is a real treat for all those Immortals After Dark fans. You will get to see all the characters and the previous stories from another perspective and all the while learning of yet ANOTHER romance kindling in the background of all the other tales. Definitely pick this up if you haven’t already, but if you haven’t read the first seven books in the series, I highly recommend you read them first (including The Warlord Wants Forever) to get the most out of this book.
Tempt Me Eternally by Gena Showalter:(Alien Huntress, #5)
** My rating does not reflect this story at this point because I haven’t read this one yet.
I didn’t read this one since I haven’t started the Alien Huntress series yet and I’m a sucker for reading a series in order. I do have it on my to-read list, but I haven’t started yet. But, once I read it, I’ll revise this review/rating.
